Role Overview:

As the Head of Development at Code Solutions, you will be responsible for leading the development team and overseeing all aspects of software development, from ideation through to implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, meet technical standards, and align with the company's strategic goals. This is a leadership role that requires a mix of technical expertise, management skills, and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the development team to ensure high performance and engagement

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and development timelines

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment

• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and software architecture are followed across all projects

• Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient and effective delivery of solutions

• Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies that enhance the company’s capabilities and product offerings

• Act as the key technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project alignment

• Monitor performance metrics and continuously seek to optimise development processes

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring that Code Solutions remains competitive in the market

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head of Development, Development Manager, or similar senior leadership role

• Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in full-stack development (experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar languages)

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience managing large development teams

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• A passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends
