Role Overview:
As a User Researcher at ABC Studios, you will play a key role in understanding our users' behaviours, motivations, and pain points. You will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analysing research to inform the design and development of products. Your insights will help guide product strategy, improve user experience, and ensure our solutions are effective and intuitive for the target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct, and analyse qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points
Design and execute a variety of research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, focus groups, and competitive analysis
Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and present them to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to integrate research findings into the design and development process
Work closely with teams to define research objectives and ensure alignment with project goals
Create personas, user journey maps, and other deliverables to help communicate user insights to the team
Continuously advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that user feedback is incorporated into all phases of product development
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user research and UX
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a User Researcher or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of research work
Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research methods
Ability to design and conduct usability testing, interviews, surveys, and other research methods
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and UX best practices
Proficiency in research tools and software, such as Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, or similar
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field
